Register For Our Ride

Date: Soon To Be Announced

In March of 2008, Officers of the West Valley Division of the Los Angeles Police Department came up with an idea to build a Memorial Monument to honor our fellow officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. On September 6, 2008, the 1st Annual West Valley Memorial Ride was held.

With the help of the California Highway Patrol, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, and Motor Officers of the Valley Traffic Division of LAPD, the ride began and ended up being the largest law enforcement escorted ride held in the San Fernando Valley! Who knew this was only the start of what motorcycle riders from all over the city, county, and state would wait for on a yearly basis. It has become the motorcycle ride of all rides to do and has brought together the Police Officers and public in a positive surrounding, riding side by side. We thank all of you who made this possible and look forward to fulfilling our commitment and continue the tradition.

About Our Ride

The ride was started in 2008 by Los Angeles Police Officers Lyle Michelson and Kimberly Snyder of the West Valley Community Police Station. With the assistance of the Command Staff, Station Fund Committee, and the West Valley B.O.O.S.T.E.R.S it soon became a tradition that raises funds for very worthy causes.

In the past, partial proceeds built a Memorial Monument in front of the West Valley Community Police Station, and also have raised funds for the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation and the Randal D. Simmons Outreach Foundation.

The ride starts in front of the West Valley Community Police Station, located at 19020 Vanowen Street, in Reseda. In the past years, we have ended on the back lots of CBS Studios in Studio City and Paramount Studios in Hollywood.

Our 4th Annual West Valley Memorial Ride accrued August 27, 2011 and was an overwhelming success, minus the heat of course! We had over 400 motorcycles and 950+ people bare possibly the hottest day of the year! We can't thank everyone enough for the support and dedication you have shown us over the last 4 years. Our ride has truly gone from "small beginnings to being the most sought-after ride on the West Coast"! Everybody who rides in our ride believes in the cause and comes back year after year for the "thrill of cruising along without traffic on streets and freeways that are normally jammed with cars". In our 2011 ride we were privileged to have both City Councilman, and LAPD Captains ride, and also had the widows of the Swat Officer Randy Simmons and Detective Tom Williams present. Once again, we thank everyone for your support and dedication!

We hope to see you in 2012, please keep checking our Facebook page and our website for updates to the ride.
